Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions in Oregon City, OR is hiring an Operations Technician II, Metalworking. You will operate and maintain forges, foundries, and furnaces to produce precise parts, inspect molds, and ensure products meet customer specs.

Cross-training across forging processes and FIFO seating per casting schedule. You’ll document daily production logs, follow 5S and safety rules, support Lean/EHS initiatives, and assist in training.

Qualifications

• High School Or Equivalent (Preferred)
• 1+ Year Prior Work Experience (Required)
• Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)
• Operations Experience (Preferred)
• Knowledge of Quality Inspection Metrology Tools is expected

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Flash Fire unit and dewaxed molds per casting schedule.
• Inspect molds before and after dewax; load/unload molds for preheat furnaces.
• Operate induction furnace to cast molten alloy into molds; repair furnaces as needed.
• Sort molds and castings to maintain lot integrity; assist melt furnace operator.
• Complete daily production log documentation; follow 5S and safety rules.
