Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions LLC in Oregon City, OR is seeking an Operations Technician II, Metalworking to operate and maintain forges, foundries, and furnaces for producing parts and products. You will be cross-trained to perform multiple operations within forging without supervision.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 1+ year manufacturing experience, and basic metrology/quality control skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 1+ year of prior work experience in manufacturing is required.
• Experience in operations and manufacturing environments is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Flash Fire unit and dewaxing processes according to the casting schedule.
• Inspect molds before and after dewax operations; load/unload for preheat furnaces.
• Operate induction furnace to cast molten alloy into molds.
• Repair furnaces with linings and replacement of crucibles as required.
• Sort molds and castings to maintain lot integrity.
• Assist melt furnace operator in casting each alloy charge.
• Stage ingots for melt furnace operations per daily schedule.
• Inventory alloy and maintain daily consumption log.
• Follow 5S housekeeping and safety requirements.
