Job summary

Orchid is seeking an Operations Technician II, Metalworking to operate and maintain forges, foundries, and furnaces, ensuring customer specifications are met. The role involves cross-training across forging tasks, handling melts, and supporting daily production in a compliant, safe environment.

You will perform inspections, document daily logs, follow 5S and Lean initiatives, and assist with training. The site emphasizes teamwork, safety, and a commitment to quality in a growing orthopedic

Qualifications

• High School Or Equivalent (Preferred)
• 1+ Year Prior Work Experience (Required)
• Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)
• Operations Experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Flash Fire unit; remove sealed molds from drying tunnel; ensure molds to be dewaxed are properly sequenced FIFO per casting schedule.
• Inspect molds before and after dewax operations; load and unload molds for preheat furnaces per daily schedule.
• Operate induction furnace to cast molten alloy into molds; repair furnaces with linings and crucibles as required.
• Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products; perform housekeeping and safety tasks.
