Job summary

Solace Elixirs in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a founding mixologist and kavatender for the pre-opening zero-proof beverage program. Part-time AM & PM shifts with base pay $20–$24 per hour, tips, and a strong benefits package are offered, including training, education reimbursement, wellness funds, and a growth path.

Lead beverage service, test and refine the menu, train staff, and build a hospitality standard that centers on botanical, zero-proof experiences.

Qualifications

• Cocktail experience with balance, dilution, texture, aroma, glassware, garnish and presentation.
• Zero-proof category fluency with NA spirits, aperitifs, RTD bases, teas, kava, speciosa, botanicals.
• Functional beverages: drinks centered on guest moments, yet balanced and approachable.
• Execution discipline: refine drinks under pressure, maintain prep, cleanliness and speed.
• Botanical responsibility: precise handling of herbs, teas, kava, kanna, speciosa.
• Guest confidence: make unfamiliar ingredients approachable without over-explaining.
• Early-stage mindset: adaptable, composed, comfortable building a concept.
• Hospitality readiness: willing to work full shifts, weekends, and opening/closing duties.
• Local fit: Pittsburgh-based or willing to relocate before launch.

Responsibilities

• Leading AM or PM beverage service.
• Executing cocktails, tea, coffee, kava and speciosa consistently.
• Guiding guests through unfamiliar ingredients with confidence.
• Maintaining prep, batching, restocking, POS flow, cleanliness and opening/closing standards.
• Following house portioning, education and safety guidelines.
