Job summary

Serval is hiring its founding Solutions Engineer to own the pre‑sales technical motion for strategic customers. You’ll partner with GTM leaders and AEs to shape demos, evaluations, and the architecture that wins the technical decision.

You’ll demonstrate credible technical depth, partner on security reviews, and build the initial SA toolkit and reference architectures. The role is based in New York with potential remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in solutions architecture, sales engineering, or equivalent pre-sales role.
• Track record selling technical products to senior IT and security buyers.
• Deep technical depth to discuss architecture, integrations, and security questions.
• Fluency with IdP/SCIM, ITSM, APIs, and access management concepts.
• Strong communication and storytelling for engineers and executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical sales motion with AEs: discovery, architecture, demos, and security reviews.
• Deeply integrate with the prospect's stack (IdPs, ITSM, HRIS, cloud, SaaS).
• Translate environments and goals into scoped, value-based use cases.
• Be the credible security voice on guardrails, audit logs, and access controls.
• Handoff to Deployment at pilot kickoff with complete context.
• Build SA toolkit: demo environments, reference architectures, FAQs.
• Bridge field and product to capture objections and feed engineering.
