Job summary

Share is hiring a Founding Software Engineer to own the platform's critical domains: payments pipeline, billing engine, and integration layer. You will work directly with the CTO and a small team to ship production systems processing real financial transactions for ISP partners.

This is a high-impact startup role with a focus on NestJS microservices, AI-assisted workflows, and scalable architecture to support Africa's infrastructure ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering, incl. 3+ years backend with financial transactions.
• Deep TypeScript/Node.js expertise; ability to design a NestJS microservice from scratch.
• Production experience with payment gateway integrations (M-Pesa, Stripe, Adyen).
• Strong PostgreSQL skills for data modeling and migrations.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

Responsibilities

• Own platform domains: payments pipeline, billing, and integration layer.
• Ship production systems and collaborate with CTO and a small engineering team.
• Demonstrate AI-driven workflow practices and critical thinking on specs.
• Translate specifications into robust production code without waiting for tasking.
