Job summary

ShipperHQ is seeking a Founding Merchant Development Consultant to build the front end of our sales motion. You’ll identify ideal merchants, understand their selling/shipping flows, diagnose pre-purchase friction, and convert insights into business conversations.

You will own inbound qualification, intelligent outbound prospecting, event follow-up, social selling, and merchant research while helping shape the Merchant Development function for scalable growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in Sales Development, Inside Sales, or related customer-facing roles.
• Hands-on CRM experience and ability to manage leads, contacts, accounts, and opportunities.
• Familiarity with modern virtual-selling methods including phone, email, video, social channels.
• Experience researching e-commerce brands and understanding their buying processes.

Responsibilities

• Ingest and qualify inbound inquiries with speed and accuracy.
• Perform intelligent outbound prospecting to identify high-potential merchants.
• Research merchants to understand brand, ecommerce presence, technology, and shipping needs.
• Develop value hypotheses and conversations tied to measurable business outcomes.
• Document discovery and qualification in CRM and hand off to Account Executive.
