Job summary

ShipperHQ is seeking its first Founding Merchant Development Consultant, a commercially curious, digitally savvy sales professional who can identify great merchants, understand how they sell, and turn insights into meaningful conversations.

You will own inbound qualification, intelligent outbound prospecting, social selling, and merchant research, and help build the Merchant Development playbook as the function grows.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CRM experience and ability to manage leads, contacts, accounts, activities, and pipeline.
• Familiarity with modern virtual-selling methods including phone, email, video, LinkedIn, and social channels.
• Commercially analytical with ability to identify merchant inefficiencies and translate into business impact.

Responsibilities

• Own inbound qualification and intelligence for merchant opportunities, ensuring fast speed-to-lead and strong qualification context.
• Lead outbound merchant development, researching target brands and building tailored outreach.
• Develop merchant value hypotheses and validate with discovery to drive conversations forward.
• Maintain CRM records and collaborate with marketing to improve targeting, messaging, and handoffs.
• Help build and refine the Merchant Development playbook as the function scales.
