Job summary

ShipperHQ is building a new SaaS sales function in Austin. We seek our first Founding Merchant Development Consultant to identify merchants, understand their selling and shipping needs, and turn insights into meaningful conversations.

You will own the front end of ShipperHQ's sales motion across inbound qualification, intelligent outbound prospecting, and merchant research. This founding role shapes how we build the playbook and may lead the team in the future.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in Sales Development or related customer-facing role.
• Strong discovery and qualification skills.
• CRM experience and opportunity management.
• Familiarity with social selling and digital prospect research.
• Curious about merchants' business and able to turn research into conversations.

Responsibilities

• Own inbound merchant qualification and initial discovery.
• Identify high-intent opportunities and route to AE.
• Prospect via phone, email, LinkedIn, social channels.
• Develop merchant value hypotheses from research.
• Maintain CRM records and handoffs to Account Executives.
• Help build and refine the Merchant Development playbook.
