Job summary

PolicyLift is seeking a founding member of our business development team in Tampa or NYC. This outbound role calls independent agency owners to spark interest and book qualified demos that convert into long-term customers.

You will own outbound sequences, triage inbound inquiries, and help sharpen our scripts and messaging. Expect up to 30% travel for industry events, uncapped commission, equity, and a fast path to AE as you beat targets.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 2 years in sales or another high-activity role.
• Clear, confident communicator on phone and writing.
• Organized with reliable follow-up and pipeline visibility.
• Willing to learn and adapt quickly in a startup.
• Interest in AI and tech startups and building from inside.

Responsibilities

• Dial outbound to agency owners, overcome gatekeepers, and book meetings.
• Respond to marketing leads, handle objections, and schedule demos.
• Qualify inbound inquiries and route to the next steps.
• Monitor channels for buying signals and act the same day.
• Keep HubSpot CRM up to date with calls and outcomes.
• Provide feedback to improve scripts and lists weekly.
• Attend industry events and conferences up to 30% travel.
