Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Restaurant Manager for The Founder’s Room, located inside The Paramount Baltimore in Baltimore, MD. Lead daily operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and manage front‑of‑house teams to support event days and daily service.

This role is part of the opening team, shaping culture, standards, and procedures from day one. The position offers a salary of $65,000–$75,000 per year and bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of restaurant management experience.
• Experience in upscale, full‑service, high‑volume or entertainment‑driven restaurants.
• Strong knowledge of hospitality and elevated guest service.
• Proven ability to manage, train, and develop a team.
• Strong financial, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with POS systems, scheduling, cash handling, and inventory management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Food safety certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of The Founder's Room, including event and non-event service.
• Ensure an elevated, consistent, and welcoming guest experience.
• Manage, lead, and develop the front-of-house team, including servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, train, and coach restaurant employees.
• Create and manage staff schedules based on business and event needs.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily service expectations.
• Maintain high standards for hospitality, service, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Monitor restaurant sales, labor costs, inventory, and operating expenses.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and POS procedures.
• Address guest concerns and resolve service issues professionally.
• Partner closely with the Executive Chef to ensure seamless front‑and‑back-of‑house operations.
• Coordinate restaurant operations around Paramount events and entertainment schedules.
• Assist with menu rollouts, tastings, service training, and opening preparations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and applicable food and beverage requirements.
• Monitor employee performance and provide coaching and feedback.
• Complete required operational and financial reports.
• Build strong relationships with venue leadership and other Spectrum departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
