Job summary

Oak View Group seeks an experienced Sous Chef for The Founder's Room at The Paramount Baltimore. The role supports daily kitchen operations, working closely with the Executive Chef to ensure quality, sanitation, and timely service for concerts and events.

The Founder's Room is a private members area inside the venue; you will manage shifts, guide culinary staff, and help develop menus while ensuring food safety and cost targets are met.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive culinary experience; Sous Chef or kitchen leadership preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant, entertainment venue, catering operation, or upscale hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with the daily operation of The Founder's Room kitchen.
• Oversee food preparation, production, service, and closing procedures.
• Maintain sanitation, proper storage, labeling, and temperature controls.
• Assist with inventory, inventory counts, and cost-control procedures.
• Prepare kitchen for concerts, events, VIP experiences, and high-volume service.
