Job summary

Qcells USA Corp in Ankeny, IA seeks a General Superintendent Foundations to lead the foundations team on large utility-scale solar and BESS projects. You will establish standards, train the contract execution team, and report to the Field Operations Manager.

Hybrid work from home and project sites, with standard hours and up to 75% travel. The role requires 7+ years in site supervision, strong knowledge of construction codes, medium voltage, and subcontractor management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of site supervision experience.
• Proven track record as a Superintendent on large projects (> $20M).
• Thorough knowledge of construction codes.
• Medium voltage experience.
• Experience dealing with subcontracts and subcontractors.
• 2+ years of solar PV or wind power project experience preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the superintendents and their craft on the project.
• Develop detailed CPM schedules and billing schedules.
• Coordinate activities, procurement, logistics with PM and field staff.
• Review materials/equipment for systems and oversee startup.
• Prepare progress reports for Project Managers and Owners.
• Review contracts and suggest improvements.
• Mentor Engineers across disciplines.
• Coordinate submittals and shop drawings.
• Travel up to 75% as needed.
• Attend meetings and ensure clear communication.
