Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp in Ankeny, IA, seeks a General Superintendent Mechanical for our construction projects. This hybrid role requires travel to multiple jobsites, with typical hours Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm or 9:00am–6:00pm local time. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in site supervision
• Proven track record as a Superintendent on large projects (> $20M)
• Thorough knowledge of Construction Code and building codes
• Medium voltage experience
• Experience with subcontracts and subcontractors
• Solar PV or wind project experience preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 100%
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Responsibilities

• Lead superintendents and craft teams through project duration
• Develop CPM schedules and schedule of values for billing
• Coordinate activities with project manager and field staff
• Review materials and startup of mechanical/structural systems
• Prepare progress reports for project managers/directors and owners
• Review contract documents and suggest improvements
• Mentor and supervise engineers across disciplines
• Coordinate submittals and shop drawings
• Provide cost estimates and track project costs
• Perform other duties as assigned
