Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp in Ankeny, IA, is seeking a Commissioning Superintendent to oversee safety, productivity, scheduling, testing and commissioning for utility-scale solar facilities. The role reports to the Commissioning Manager and is hybrid, with up to 100% travel.

Ideal candidates have solar PV/BESS commissioning experience, can manage cross-functional teams, and communicate effectively with clients and testing agencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience on major utility-scale projects.
• Solar PV and/or BESS commissioning experience.
• Willingness to travel.
• Experience with Procore or comparable project management tool.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience reviewing electrical drawings and installation manuals.

Responsibilities

• Direct commissioning personnel and/or subcontractors to achieve project completion.
• Support the project team with planning and proper methods for activities.
• Follow and implement the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental policy.
• Coordinate resources and activities to maintain safety and quality.
• Create and maintain commissioning documentation per contract requirements.
• Ensure all work is within approved scope and complies with plans.
• Coordinate with supplier testing & commissioning teams.
• Identify testing required per project scope and ITP.
• Communicate with engineering to meet commissioning requirements.
• Attendance and supervisory duties as required.
