Job summary

Qcells USA Corp. seeks a Mechanical Superintendent to lead field operations for utility-scale solar and BESS EPC projects across the United States. This is a 100% travel, on-site role with typical site durations of 8–12 months.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of construction leadership, experience with solar PV systems, and proven ability to manage crews, schedules, permits, and safety on multiple projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting utility-scale or commercial construction projects.
• 2+ years in a Mechanical Superintendent or Construction Management role.
• Experience with solar PV mechanical systems, racking, and installation methods.
• Experience managing subcontractors, crews, and field operations.
• Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Procore preferred).
• Willingness to travel and relocate full-time (100% nationwide).

Responsibilities

• Crew oversight and management.
• Create and maintain project schedule and 3-week lookahead.
• Acquire and sustain all necessary permits and ensure rigorous adherence to project specifications.
• Outline completed portions of the past week that meet or exceed Project Schedule.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure our construction teams have the materials they need.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and vendors.
• Lead safety efforts (inspections, toolbox talks, JHAs).
• Manage subcontractor performance and field execution.
