Job summary

Michels Construction, Inc. is seeking a Concrete Superintendent for heavy civil projects in the Washington area.

You will oversee field operations for foundations, coordinate schedules and resources, and ensure safety, QA/QC, and on-site documentation are completed to high standards. You will lead Foremen and trade staff, participate in client meetings, and drive safe, efficient project execution on long-term onsite assignments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in concrete construction or heavy civil projects.
• Experience with structural concrete construction and subcontract management.
• Knowledge of forming systems, mix designs and admixtures desired.
• Valid driver license and acceptable driving record as determined by company policies.
• Ability to travel and commit to long-term onsite projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate schedules and resources for field operations.
• Communicate project scope to Foremen and ensure safety processes (JSAs and inspections) are completed.
• Attend client meetings and manage materials and tooling needs.
• Verify daily QA/QC and as-built documentation; review time and field reports.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and mentor Foremen and trade staff.
