Job summary

Michels Construction, Inc. is seeking a Concrete Superintendent, Heavy Civil in Montgomery, IL to lead foundation-focused field operations. You will coordinate schedules, manage materials and subcontractors, and ensure safety processes are followed on site.

You will participate in client meetings, QA/QC, and document as‑built records while mentoring Foremen and trades for safe, efficient project execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience and/or training in construction industry
• Experience with structural concrete construction and subcontract management
• Knowledge of forming systems, mix designs and admixtures desired
• Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record
• Ability to travel and commit to long term onsite projects

Responsibilities

• Coordinate schedules and resources; communicate scope to Foremen
• Ensure safety processes like JSAs and inspections are completed
• Attend client meetings, manage materials and tooling needs
• Verify daily QA/QC and as‑built documentation; review time and field reports
• Develop Foremen and trade staff while contributing to safe, efficient project execution
