Job summary

Michels Construction, Inc. is seeking a Project Superintendent, Heavy Civil to lead field operations on major projects, coordinating crews and subcontractors to meet foundations, industrial facilities, and infrastructure milestones.

You will closely work with the General Superintendent, safety staff, foremen, and project managers to keep schedules and safety standards on track, while managing quality, budget, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with heavy civil and alternative delivery projects.
• Experience with structural concrete construction and subcontract management.
• Knowledge of forming systems, mix designs and admixtures desired.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to travel and commit to long-term onsite projects.

• Direct and coordinate field activities, either personally or through subordinates, across multiple projects.
• Communicate with and supervise the General Superintendent, Safety staff, foremen, and Project Managers to ensure alignment and safe execution.
• Support dynamic and growing industries through effective project oversight and collaboration.
• Maintain a focus on safety, quality, schedule, and budget while delivering project milestones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience and/or training in the construction industry
• Experience with heavy civil and alternative delivery projects
• Experience with structural concrete construction and subcontract management
• Knowledge of forming systems, mix designs and admixtures desired
• Valid driver’s license for the applicable vehicle types and a satisfactory driving record as determined by Michels
• Ability to travel and commit to long-term onsite projects
