SAFY of America, Inc. in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a Full Time Engagement & Licensing Specialist to recruit, license, engage and retain foster parents.

You will work with staff, foster parents, and volunteers to drive recruitment activities and ensure licensure timelines. You will also lead community outreach, coordinate speaking engagements and events, manage budgets, conduct home studies, and schedule pre-service training in compliance with SAFY policies and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a human services field.
• LBSW, LGSW/LMSW; LCSW, or LSW required.
• 2 years of client/community engagement experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication; public speaking.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and agency databases.
• Valid driving record and auto insurance for travel.
• Experience in child welfare.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement recruitment activities to attract foster and respite parents.
• Follow up with prospective foster parents via phone, email, and in person during licensure.
• Serve as liaison with community organizations; attend events and meetings.
• Coordinate speaking engagements and recruitment opportunities.
• Manage budget within guidelines.
• Perform home studies and organize pre-service training.
• Ensure training hours meet SAFY policy and state requirements.
• Ensure timely data entry and reporting for compliance.
