SAFY of Ohio is seeking a full-time Engagement & Licensing Specialist in Canton, OH to recruit, license and engage foster parents while aiming to retain families aligned with annual goals. The role requires coordinating licensing activities, conducting home studies, and building strong community relationships with organizations and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a human services field.
• Two years of relevant engagement experience.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written); comfortable with public speaking.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and agency databases.
• Acceptable driving record and auto insurance; travel may be required.
• Experience in child welfare.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and engage foster and respite parents using diverse tactics.
• Follow up with prospective foster parents through calls, email, and in-person contact.
• Build relationships with community organizations and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and participate in speaking engagements and community events.
• Manage budget within guidelines.
• Complete licensing processes and home studies per policy and state rules.
• Ensure timely data entry and compliance reporting.
• Support ongoing engagement through licensure and training.
