Job summary

Bethany Christian Services in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Licensing Recruiter to license and re-license foster homes, conduct required trainings, and coordinate placement plans for children in care. This on-site role partners with case managers, supports ongoing foster parent training, and ensures compliance with state and contract policies.

A Bachelor's in Human Services is required; a Master's is preferred, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field from an accredited college.
• Master’s degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in foster care or child welfare a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Demonstrated ability with clinical, interviewing, perceptual, diagnostic and family assessment skills.
• Demonstrated ability to relate well and work with others.
• Eligible to obtain professional licensure in the state of work location.
• Ability to work independently with high initiative.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and license foster homes, including trainings and monitoring progress.
• Re-license homes and complete annual evaluations, coordinate transfers and closures.
• Conduct post-placement follow-up on foster homes.
• Work with the assigned case manager and supervisors at the site.
• Maintain current available homes and on-call list for referrals.
• Coordinate placement plans with foster care supervisor when Bethany has a potential resource.
• Coordinate respite program functions and substitute care as needed.
• Conduct orientation pre-service training for foster home requirements.
• Develop and facilitate ongoing foster parent training programs.
• Serve as a consultant to case managers regarding foster home issues.
• Participate in foster parent activities and meetings.
• Assist in coordinating events such as Foster Parent Appreciation Dinner.
• Develop written materials for foster parents (handbook, brochures).
• Attend area coalition meetings and annual conferences.
