Job summary

Bethany Christian Services seeks a Foster Care Licensor & Placement Coordinator to work from a home office with travel to the Augusta, Savannah, and Athens regions. You will ensure compliant licensing, recruit and support foster families, and collaborate with caseworkers to place children in safe homes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or equivalent from an accredited college.
• Master’s degree in Human Services or related field; a plus.
• Experience in child and family services or expectant parent counseling is a plus.
• Knowledge of state, community and agency resources.
• Strong public speaking and training skills with interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and build relationships with diverse communities.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruitment techniques for foster parents and minority foster parents.
• Audit prospective family files to ensure documents are current and complete.
• Review foster home files for licensing compliance.
• Coordinate with referral sources and foster care staff.
• Guide prospective foster parents through screening and licensing processes.
• Complete SAFE home study assessments of new and existing families.
• Monitor relicensing of foster homes within the program.
• Coordinate placement referrals and paperwork with placing agencies.
• Liaise with caseworkers and supervisors for placement activities.
• Assist Training and Development Coordinator with events and retention efforts.
• Participate in team meetings and stay updated on regulatory requirements.
