Job summary

Bethany Christian Services USA LLC is seeking a Foster Care Licensing Specialist to support foster parents and placements. You will train, equip, and connect families to resources while ensuring compliance with licensing requirements and state/federal regulations.

Jointly with caseworkers and Bethany staff, you will conduct orientations, audits, and relicensing activities, helping families navigate licensing, placement, and community support systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field from an accredited college.
• Master's degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in foster care or child welfare is a plus.
• Demonstrated interviewing, placement, diagnostic, and family assessment skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be 21+ with valid US driver's license and 3+ years driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and follow-through of recruitment techniques for foster parents and minority foster parents.
• Facilitate orientation sessions throughout the year.
• Audit and review prospective family files to ensure paperwork is current.
• Review foster home files to ensure licensing requirements are met.
• Develop and coordinate orientation for prospective foster parents.
• Work with prospective foster parents through screening and licensing.
• Monitor relicensing of foster homes within the program.
• Coordinate referrals for appropriate placements and liaise with staff and supervisors.
• Inform caseworkers on licensing and placement regulations.
• Communicate rule violations to caseworkers and foster parents and oversee corrective actions.
• Assist Training and Development and Recruitment Specialists with events and recognition activities.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
