Job summary

Delta Family Services seeks a dedicated professional to work directly with SBH Resource Parents, guiding them to ensure the safety, stability and well-being of SBH children and youth in home, school and community settings.

You will provide direct support, coaching and collaboration with care teams to secure necessary services, maintain documentation, and support crisis planning. Strong trauma-informed knowledge and crisis skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Guidance and Counseling or Child Development.
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling or Criminal Justice preferred.
• Experience with families and children in community-based or home-based settings.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and implications for caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support, consultation and coaching to SBH Resource Parents to meet emotional, behavioral, social, academic and developmental needs.
• Identify caregiver challenges and develop strategies to mitigate issues.
• Provide face-to-face support, at least 2 times per month, with more contact during new placements or crises.
• Coordinate with CB, CM and educational teams to ensure access to services.
• Assist with transportation planning for SBH children/youth.
• Provide 24/7 on-call crisis management and support to resource parents.
