Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work or related field from an accredited college.
• Licensed to practice in the State of Kansas.
• PS-MAPP leader and PS-Deciding Together leader certifications.
• Two years’ experience working with children and families.
• Must pass background screenings and have a valid KS driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assesses prospective resource families for placement of children.
• Licensing requirements documented per DCF and KDHE guidelines.
• Coordinates PS-MAPP and Deciding Together preparation for families.
• Completes annual reassessment and licensing requirements for resource families.
• Provides training regarding kinship, foster and adoptive care as needed.
• Liaises with DCF, courts, community resources, and families to ensure licensing success.
