Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field is required.
• At least two years' experience providing child welfare and/or family services.
• Detailed understanding of foster parenting.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment background and reference checks, drug screen and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and follows up on potential contacts for prospective foster parents within the same day or if received after hours, on the next business day.
• Assists prospective foster and adoptive families in enrolling for DT classes.
• Conducts Deciding Together (DT) classes for prospective foster and adoptive families.
• Assists family with obtaining fingerprints and out of state checks if needed.
• Collects all required DT paperwork from prospective families.
• Completes DT Leaders Summary and Recommendations.
• Provides support to prospective foster families.
