Job summary

StepStone Family & Youth Services, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is seeking a Foster Care Licensing Specialist to recruit and support foster families through licensing and certification.

You will conduct home studies, ensure licensing compliance, collaborate with treatment teams, and help families navigate regulatory requirements, promoting safe and healing environments for youth in care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human service field.
• 1 year of work experience in child placing or related agency.
• Experience in resource development or foster parent recruitment preferred.
• Strong recruiting mentality and full lifecycle knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment and awareness activities for prospective foster/adoptive parents.
• Develop proactive recruitment plans and maintain a candidate pipeline.
• Respond to foster parent inquiries within 24 hours by phone.
• Support licensing and certification processes with families.
• Complete home studies, background clearances and inspections.
• Maintain foster parent files in compliance with regulations.
• Assist in placement processes and match youth with families.
• Attend meetings and collaborate with referral sources and partners.
• Ensure safety and well‑being of youth and observe signs of neglect.
