Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

• Education may be substituted by qualifying experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Desirable: Foster Care Eligibility experience; CalSAWs system familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operations of the Foster Care Eligibility unit to ensure timely case processing.
• Coordinates central communication between FCE staff and City agencies to share information.
• Monitors performance, identifies gaps, and sets goals to improve service delivery and compliance.
• Leads staff, including workload management, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Implements policy updates in response to regulatory changes and department priorities.
• Prepares regular program status updates and recommendations for the Program Director.
• Ensures activities comply with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
