Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mid-Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to own real ambiguity and drive rough problem statements to working solutions across Foundry-based and custom software. You will lead technically, mentor junior engineers, and manage multiple projects, ensuring delivery aligns with client goals and program outcomes.

The role requires 6+ years of experience and hands-on Palantir Foundry and AIP expertise, with strong React and Python skills, plus AI/LLMs in production.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience as an individual contributor who can lead technically
• Hands-on Palantir Foundry and AIP experience (Ontology, pipelines, applications, OSDK)
• Strong software development with a modern JS frontend (React) and Python across Foundry and custom development
• Experience incorporating AI/LLMs into production solutions, beyond just tooling
• Ability to operate with ambiguity and drive solutions with minimal direction
• Comfort leading other engineers informally and setting technical direction

Responsibilities

• Own solutions end-to-end from rough problem to working solution across Foundry-based and custom software
• Lead technically on projects, review teammates work, and set direction amid shifting priorities
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with effective context-switching
• Move fast in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment without sacrificing quality
• Originate portfolio patterns, frameworks, and standards for the DPS portfolio
• Debug and support deployed solutions, respond to client feedback and evolve applications
• Engage directly with client stakeholders on scope, feasibility, and trade-offs
• Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, developers, data scientists, and SMEs
