Job summary

Jacobs is hiring an entry- to associate-level Forward Deployed Engineer to build with client teams on Foundry-based and custom software products. You’ll gain broad experience across domains early, with support and structured guidance in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes foundational coding across Foundry and custom stacks, collaboration with project managers, and occasional travel within North America as projects demand.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of relevant experience and a drive to build range across stacks.
• Foundational experience with Palantir Foundry (Ontology, pipelines, applications) or ability to ramp quickly; AIP/OSDK exposure a plus.
• Software development experience using a modern JavaScript frontend framework (React) and/or Python.
• Comfort juggling multiple projects and shifting priorities with team support.
• Fast-paced, client-facing mindset and ability to work embedded with users.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure Foundry-based and custom software features from defined requirements.
• Translate directives from Senior AI Solutions Architect into working code, pipelines, or integrations.
• Support multiple projects with prioritization and context-switching.
• Seek guidance when faced with ambiguity rather than guessing.
• Adhere to portfolio standards so work fits into the DPS framework.
• Debug and support features and existing applications while delivering new work.
• Grow skills across Palantir Foundry and custom development with senior guidance.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and subject matter experts in client sessions.
