Job summary

Shermco seeks a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to embed with business units, learning how work happens and building AI-enabled solutions using Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and Fabric. Expect about 10% travel to field locations and hybrid work from Dallas/Las Colinas.

You will move quickly from discovery to production, collaborating with Salesforce, Dayforce, and field service platforms, and be judged by adoption and measurable business value.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software/ML roles, including 2+ years building AI or LLM-based solutions in production.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, plus experience integrating with REST APIs and enterprise systems.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs, including prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, tool use, and basic evaluation.
• Experience with cloud AI platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI.

Responsibilities

• Understand day-to-day workflows with stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and scope problems.
• Build and deliver AI solutions quickly using approved tools and production-ready practices.
• Take ownership to production, with documentation and handoff to engineers as needed.
• Drive adoption after launch through training and user enablement, tracking measurable outcomes.
