Job summary

Salesforce is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions inside enterprise environments. You will join a delivery team, partnering with a Deployment Strategist to co-build solutions that go live from day one.

Expect hands-on coding, data pipelines, and measurable business impact across multiple accounts. Requirements include 3+ years of software engineering, a CS degree, and customer-facing delivery experience.

Qualifications

3+ years (6-10 years for Senior levels) of software engineering or technical delivery with at least one production system.
Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience is required.
Fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering.
Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
Ability to collaborate with sales teams and customer architects.
Ship quality code and evaluate AI outputs with rigor.
Willing to travel ~25% of the time.

Responsibilities

Develop AI agents and experiences that take real actions for real organizations.
Design agent intelligence: prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integration with customer systems.
Own end-to-end components from architecture to production.
Build and integrate data pipelines with Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
Maintain agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting.
Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs.
Co-build with customers and partners, elevating teams after engagements.
Surface platform gaps and feedback to engineers and product teams.
Collaborate with Deployment Strategist to translate challenges into shipable solutions.
