Job summary

EBSCO Information Services is building a Forward-Deployed Engineering team to turn real business problems into production AI systems. You will lead a small elite pod delivering end-to-end AI solutions with a focus on speed, quality, and cost, while creating reusable patterns and guardrails for the broader organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software, product, or AI delivery with 3+ years leading teams
• Production AI/ML end-to-end ownership from design to deployment
• Hands-on fluency with agentic AI: LLM orchestration, RAG, human-in-the-loop, prompt engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead the Forward-Deployed Engineering pod: ownership of outcomes and roadmap
• Run the operating model: value/feasibility/data-risk scoring and clean hand-offs
• Set technical direction for production agentic systems: orchestration, RAG, human-in-the-loop, guardrails
• Stand up delivery foundations: evaluation harness, guardrails, observability, reusable patterns
• Own cost-to-serve: MLM migration, prompt caching, token economics
• Partner with named sponsors to convert use cases into shipped systems
• Collaborate with delivery vendors while protecting IP
• Report impact on speed/quality/cost/learning to SLT
• Scale capability by seeding embedded champion network
