EBSCO Information Services is seeking a Delivery Lead to spearhead a forward-deployed AI delivery pod within the Data & AI organization. You will lead AI Engineers and partner with sponsors across Product, Security, Customer Service, and Operations to ship AI that improves speed, quality, and cost.

The role blends hands-on leadership with architecture direction, emphasizing reusable patterns and guardrails to accelerate the broader organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software, product, or AI delivery, incl. 3+ years leading teams that shipped AI-powered production software.
• Ownership of production AI/ML or generative-AI end-to-end from solution design through production rollout.
• Hands‑on fluency with modern agentic AI incl. LLM orchestration, RAG, human‑in‑the‑loop, prompt engineering.
• Proven track record partnering with delivery and implementation teams to production and hand off cleanly.
• Strong grounding in responsible AI, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails.
• Cloud-native (AWS preferred); able to set architecture direction and earn engineers’ trust.
• Player‑coach mindset: lead, manage, and be credible with a small elite team.
• Excellent cross‑functional communication between sponsors, stakeholders, and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Forward-Deployed Engineering pod: outcomes, delivery roadmap, team growth and performance.
• Run the operating model: value/feasibility/data-risk scoring; time-box engagements; clean hand-off.
• Set technical direction for production agentic systems: orchestration, RAG, human-in-the-loop, guardrails.
• Stand up delivery foundations: evaluation harness, guardrails, LLM observability, reusable patterns.
• Own cost-to-serve: model selection, small-language-model migration, prompt caching, token economics.
• Partner with named sponsors to convert use cases into deployed systems.
• Collaborate with strategic delivery vendors while protecting IP.
• Instrument and report impact on Speed/Quality/Cost/Learning to SLT.
• Scale the capability by seeding an embedded champion network.
