Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support federal construction projects at Fort Hood, TX.

The role involves engineering, construction management, and contract administration to ensure safety, on-schedule delivery, and budget compliance. The ideal candidate will review contractor performance, monitor schedules, manage documentation, and provide technical guidance to government and contractor teams.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Experience with contract administration, quality assurance, and change management.
• Experience supporting federal construction programs (USACE/DoD) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review QA work for technical accuracy and provide guidance on plans and codes.
• Review contractor schedules for conformance with methodology and contract requirements.
• Document principal construction features, submittals, and shop drawings for compliance.
• Maintain awareness of contractor activities to prevent government-caused delays.
• Assist in preparation of negotiation and change-order documents.
• Support government in contract administration and regulatory matters.
