Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer to provide engineering, construction management, and contract administration support for federal construction projects at Fort Hood, TX.

The selected candidate will review contractor performance, monitor schedules, evaluate quality assurance activities, manage construction documentation, and guide project execution. The role requires US citizenship and the ability to pass a federal background review and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• 7–10 years of engineering/construction management experience; or 10 years managing projects.
• Experience with USACE/DoD or MILCON/SRM preferred.
• Familiarity with RMS and contract administration practices.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS/UFC/EM 385-1-1 and regulatory standards.
• Ability to obtain/maintain access to military installations.

Responsibilities

• Review QA work for technical accuracy and plan interpretation.
• Review contractor schedules for conformance and contract compliance.
• Document principal construction features, plans, and submittals for contract compliance.
• Maintain awareness of contractor activities and prevent delays.
• Assist in negotiation and change order management documentation.
• Provide guidance on construction contract administration and project controls.
• Advise on regulations related to construction acquisition and contract matters.
• Prepare briefing materials for stakeholders and present project status.
