Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support federal construction projects at Fort Hood, TX.

The role involves engineering, construction management, and contract administration with collaboration among Government personnel, contractors, designers, and stakeholders to ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7–10 years of relevant experience, including familiarity with FAR/DFARS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• 7–10 years of project/construction management experience or 10+ years managing construction projects.
• Experience with USACE/DoD or other federal construction programs preferred.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS, UFC, EM 385-1-1, and related regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specs, schedules, and shop drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports, briefings, and presentations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installations.

Responsibilities

• Review QA work for technical accuracy and provide guidance on plans and code interpretations.
• Review contractor schedules for conformance with construction methodology and contract requirements.
• Document principal construction features, plans, submittals, and shop drawings for contract compliance.
• Maintain awareness of contractor activities and Government actions to prevent delays.
• Assist in negotiation and change order management and prepare related documents.
• Advise Government on contract administration matters and federal regulations for construction.
• Coordinate with contractor counterparts to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget project execution.
• Assist in RMS data tracking for submittals and RFIs.
• Prepare briefing materials for stakeholder engagements and provide project status updates.
