Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to provide engineering, construction management, and contract administration for federal projects at Fort Hood, TX.

You will review performance, monitor schedules, manage documentation, and guide processes with Government and contractor teams. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 7–10 years of related experience, with preference for USACE/DoD, MILCON/SRM, and strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field required.
• 7–10 years of engineering, architecture, construction management, or project management experience; or 10 years of construction project management experience.
• USACE/DoD or federal construction program experience preferred.
• MILCON/SRM project experience preferred.
• Experience with construction contract administration, quality assurance, project controls, scheduling, and change management.
• RMS experience required or preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, UFC, EM 385-1-1, and other federal construction regs and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, schedules, shop drawings, and technical documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to prepare technical reports, briefings, and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Review QA work for technical accuracy and provide guidance on plans, specs, and code interpretation.
• Review contractor schedules for conformance and contract compliance.
• Document principal construction features, plans, specs, submittals, and shop drawings for field conditions and contract compliance.
• Maintain awareness of contractor activities to prevent delays.
• Review proposed changes and prepare information for negotiations.
• Assist in preparing negotiation and change order documents.
• Provide consulting expertise in contract administration, CM, and acquisition management.
• Advise Government on contract matters and federal regulations.
• Review design changes to accommodate site conditions or expedite work.
• Collaborate with contractor counterparts to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage input in RMS for submittals, RFIs, and data tracking.
• Perform BCOES and hand reviews.
• Prepare briefing materials for stakeholder engagements and present status as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
