Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer to provide engineering, construction management, and contract administration support for federal construction at Fort Hood, TX.

The selected candidate will review contractor performance, monitor schedules, and ensure compliance with contract requirements and regulations. This role requires collaboration with Government personnel, contractors, designers, and stakeholders to complete projects safely, on time, and within

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• 7–10 years of engineering/construction management experience; or 10+ years managing construction projects.
• Experience supporting USACE/DoD or federal construction programs preferred.
• MILCON/SRM project experience preferred; knowledge of FAR/DFARS/UFC/EM 385-1-1.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, schedules; strong written/verbal communication.
• Ability to obtain/maintain access to military installations.

Responsibilities

• Review QA for technical accuracy and provide guidance on plans and code interpretation.
• Review contractor schedules for conformance with methodology and contract compliance.
• Review and document principal construction features for contract compliance.
• Maintain awareness of contractor activities to prevent delays.
• Assist in negotiation/change order preparation and management.
• Provide RMS input for submittals, RFIs, and data tracking.
• Prepare briefing materials and present project background and status.
• Advise on contract administration matters and federal regulations.
