Job summary

Arcturus Therapeutics Holdings Inc. is hiring a temporary Research Associate I/II for Formulation Development in San Diego, CA. You will support scale-up, manufacturing, and characterization of lipid nanoparticle-based nucleic acid formulations for multiple programs.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and contributing to formulation production, with a focus on developing and validating processes for large-scale drug product production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering or other related science field.
• 2+ years of formulation development experience in life sciences or pharma settings.
• Experience with nucleic acid or lipid nanoparticle formulations is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop nucleic acid formulations including complex nanoparticle formulations for in vitro and in vivo studies.
• Conduct process development of mRNA-LNP drug product for large-scale production.
• Investigate processes, identify root causes, evaluate trends, and ensure robustness.
• Perform stability studies and compatibility assessments for formulations.
• Maintain documentation and batch records, SOPs, and related manufacturing docs.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations summarizing results.
• Deliver high-quality results in a timely manner.
