Qualifications

• Less than 6 months of related experience and/or training; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, job orders, procedures, and blueprints.
• Basic math using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to stand and walk regularly during the day.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manufacturing equipment according to job orders and procedures.
• Read and follow job orders, blueprints, SOPs, and safety requirements.
• Inspect parts and perform quality checks throughout production.
• Count parts and record production time, completed parts, and scrap in manufacturing software.
• Follow safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout practices.

What You’ll Do as a Forming Operator - 1st Shift

• Set up and operate manufacturing equipment according to job orders, setup sheets, and established procedures
• Read and follow job orders, blueprints, SOPs, work instructions, and safety requirements
• Inspect parts and perform quality checks throughout the production process
• Accurately count parts and record production time, completed parts, and scrap in manufacturing software
• Follow established safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout practices as trained
• Assist with routine equipment maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized
• Cross‑train on production equipment and assist with training new operators as needed

What You Need to Bring to the Forming Operator - 1st Shift Role

• High school diploma or GED
• Less than 6 months of related experience and/or training; previous manufacturing experience is preferred
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, job orders, procedures, and blueprints
• Basic math skills using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Ability to stand regularly and walk frequently throughout the workday
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to work safely around moving mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment
