Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Machine Operator on the Milford, IA site for a 2nd shift. The position offers $19.50 to $20.50 per hour with weekly pay while supporting production on a fast-paced floor.

The role requires reading blueprints, operating various fabrication equipment, and performing first-article quality inspections. A high school diploma or GED is required, with safety and accuracy a must.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform precise measurements.
• Ability to read blueprints and use inspection and measuring tools.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, reach, and grasp for extended periods.
• Previous manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up machines according to job specifications and production requirements.
• Work with fabrication equipment including brake presses, laser machines, CNC equipment, saws, routers, and related machinery.
• Perform quality inspections on first articles and throughout production runs.
• Monitor equipment and materials to identify quality concerns or production issues.
• Enter production data and metrics into company systems for tracking and reporting.
• Troubleshoot and communicate equipment issues to reduce downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures.
