Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring an Operator Assembler for a medical device manufacturing site in Enfield, CT. The role involves hands-on production work, operating workstations, loading small devices, and performing inspections to ensure quality.

This is a temporary/contract opening with weekday hours and weekly pay. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of manufacturing experience, and comfort using a microscope.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing workstations and associated equipment following procedures.
• Assist production operators and technicians with product processing and fabrication.
• Load small devices into fixtures and equipment.
• Perform basic measurements and calculations related to dimensions and tolerances.
• Adjust machines as instructed to meet specifications and maximize yield.
• Conduct in-process visual inspections with/without a microscope.
• Follow CGMP, maintain documentation, and keep work areas clean.

What You'll Do as a Operator Assembler

• Operate manufacturing workstations and associated equipment while following established procedures
• Assist production operators and technicians with product processing and fabrication
• Load small devices into fixtures and equipment
• Perform basic measurements and calculations related to product dimensions and tolerances
• Adjust machines as instructed to meet specifications and maximize yield
• Conduct in-process visual inspections with and without a microscope
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP), maintain accurate documentation, and keep work areas, machines, tools, and equipment clean

What You Need to Bring to the Operator Assembler Role

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
• At least 1 year of medical device and manufacturing experience
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English and accurately document details
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform visual and dimensional inspections
• Ability to use a microscope throughout the shift
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
