Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring for a Gluing - 1st Shift position in Northwood, IA. You will manufacture and assemble foam products, perform quality checks, and follow SOPs. This is a temp, Monday-Friday role with weekly pay and opportunities for advancement.

You’ll need a high school diploma or GED; entry-level candidates are welcome. Ability to read instructions, perform basic math, and lift up to 50 lbs with assistance is required.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble foam products according to job specs.
• Read and follow job orders, SOPs and processing requirements.
• Set up and operate production equipment as trained.
• Perform quality checks throughout production to meet specs.
• Record time, production and scrap data in manufacturing software.
• Sort, stack, package and prepare finished parts.
• Follow safety procedures and keep a clean, safe workspace.

About the Opportunity

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Gluing workers for a foam manufacturing company in Northwood, Iowa. In this role, you'll help manufacture and assemble custom foam products while completing quality checks and following established production procedures. What You'll Do

• Manufacture and assemble custom-designed foam and formed parts according to job specifications
• Read and follow manufacturing job orders, work instructions, SOPs, and processing requirements
• Set up and work with production equipment as required and trained
• Perform quality checks before and throughout production to ensure parts meet specifications
• Accurately count parts and record time, production, and scrap information in manufacturing software
• Sort, stack, count, package, and prepare completed parts as needed
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout requirements as trained, and maintain a clean and orderly work area

What You Need to Bring

• High school diploma or GED
• Entry-level candidates are welcome; previous manufacturing experience is preferred
• Ability to read and follow safety rules, operating instructions, job orders, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Ability to stand regularly, walk frequently, and perform hands-on production tasks throughout the shift
• Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
• Willingness to learn new equipment and cross-train as required
