Qualifications

• This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE position: requires operating heavy machinery.
• 3 years of experience material handling and loading trucks, forklift experience, and experience scheduling deliveries strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions.

Responsibilities

• SAFETY FIRST! Schedule outbound deliveries for truck drivers in coordination with delivery zones.
• Read and interpret maps to prepare, schedule, and route trucks.
• Coordinate deliveries and pickups according to customer specifications.
• Analyze and resolve delivery problems.
• Scan orders, assign a status, and create delivery documentation.
• Communicate instructions and expectations with drivers and loaders.
• Perform administrative duties for operations.
• Perform duties of a material handler/loader as needed.

Job Summary

Yarde Metals is looking for a dispatcher to join our Operation s Team. A dispatcher is responsible for coordinating truck routes for outbound deliveries and pickups. They ensure material is safely loaded and consolidated to maximize space while preventing damage and shifting during transit

Job Responsibilities

• Efficiently schedule outbound deliveries for truck drivers in conjunction with the appropriate delivery zones.
• Read and interpret maps and locations to prepare, schedule, and route trucks.
• Coordinate deliveries and pickups according to customer specifications.
• Analyze and resolve delivery problems.
• Scan orders, assign a status, and create delivery documentation.
• Effectively communicate instructions and expectations with drivers and loaders.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties for operations.
• Perform the duties of a material handler/loader as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• 3 years of experience material handling and loading trucks, forklift experience, and experience scheduling deliveries strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions.
• History of working safely and productively.
• Must have strong problem solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a past paced work environment and meet deadlines in a productive, efficient, and safe manner.
• Basic math skills required to convert decimals and fractions and to accurately use and read tape measures and calipers.
• Dependable, punctual, and works well with others.
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, physical, meet physical requirements of the position.
