Yarde Metals is seeking a warehouse associate to join our Operations Team in North Canton, OH. The role involves safely filling orders, moving material, and assisting with loading/unloading.

You will operate powered industrial equipment, verify materials, prepare orders for shipment, and maintain accuracy. Candidates should have forklift experience, basic math, and a commitment to safety; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions.
• History of working safely and productively.
• Forklift operation experience strongly preferred.
• Basic math skills to convert decimals and fractions and read tape measures and calipers.
• Dependable, punctual, and works well with others.
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, physical, and meet physical requirements.
• Willingness to work required overtime.

Responsibilities

• Move material throughout warehouse by safely operating powered industrial vehicles (forklifts and overhead cranes).
• Retrieve material from inventory according to work instructions.
• Verify accuracy of material retrieved by measuring and comparing product information on tag to work order.
• Construct skids and use shipping supplies to properly wrap and prepare product for delivery.
• Tag material, verify product against work order, and perform last piece visual inspection.
• Safely load and unload material from trucks using cranes, forklifts, and side loaders.
• Inspect inbound material using measuring tape measures and calipers.
• Record and report material discrepancies.
• Locate material into inventory racking system.
• Prepare orders for shipment via common carriers, UPS, and customer pick-up.
• Expedite orders and process received and shipped material in system.
• Print material certifications and shipping tickets.
• Continually inspect materials and report material defects.
• Perform additional duties as instructed by manager.

Job Summary

Yarde Metals is looking for a warehouse associate to join our Operations Team. A warehouse associate is responsible for safely filling orders, replenishing inventory, loading/unloading trucks and moving material in the warehouse.

Job Responsibilities

• SAFETY FIRST!
• Move material throughout warehouse by safely operating powered industrial vehicles (forklifts and overhead cranes).
• Retrieve material from inventory according to work instructions.
