Job summary

Yarde Metals is seeking a Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator on the 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) at 6991 Freedom Ave NW, North Canton, OH. Join our operations team to safely fill orders, replenish inventory, and move material throughout the warehouse.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and overhead cranes, loading and unloading trucks, preparing orders for shipment, and recording material discrepancies.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions.
• Forklift operation experience strongly preferred.
• Basic math skills to convert decimals and fractions and to read tape measures and calipers.
• Dependable, punctual, and works well with others.
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, physical, and meet job requirements.
• Willingness to work required overtime.

Responsibilities

• Move material throughout warehouse by safely operating powered industrial vehicles (forklifts and overhead cranes).
• Retrieve material from inventory according to work instructions.
• Verify accuracy of material retrieved by measuring and comparing product information on tag to work order.
• Construct skids and use shipping supplies to wrap and prepare product for delivery.
• Tag material, verify product against work order, and perform last piece visual inspection.
• Safely load and unload material from trucks using cranes, forklifts, and side loaders.
• Inspect inbound material using measuring tape and calipers.
• Record and report material discrepancies.
• Locate material into inventory racking system.
• Prepare orders for shipment via common carriers, UPS, and customer pick-up.
• Expedite orders and process received and shipped material in system.
• Print material certifications and shipping tickets.
• Continually inspect materials and report material defects.
• Perform additional duties as instructed by manager.

Job Summary

Yarde Metals is looking for a warehouse associate to join our Operations Team. A warehouse associate is responsible for safely filling orders, replenishing inventory, loading/unloading trucks and moving material in the warehouse.

Job Responsibilities

• SAFETY FIRST!
• Move material throughout warehouse by safely operating powered industrial vehicles (forklifts and overhead cranes).
• Retrieve material from inventory according to work instructions.

• Tag material, verify product against work order, and perform last piece visual inspection.
