Job Summary
The Plant Operations Coordinator supports branch operations through a combination of administrative, warehouse, machine operation, and delivery functions, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of materials and orders.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform data entry and maintain records related to inventory, shipments, work orders, inventory, and return material.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate order fulfillment.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments to resolve issues.
- Match and file bills of lading, packing slips, work orders, and certifications.
- Track operational data, mileage, weights, and activity reports.
- Safely operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, side loaders, and overhead cranes).
- Pick, verify, measure, and transport materials according to order specifications.
- Measure material using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to construct skids, pallets, and boxes.
- Operate metal saws and processing equipment to cut material.
- Setup saws by selecting appropriate nozzles, setting speeds, and feeds.
- Follow quality procedures and sampling plan to ensure material is accurately processed.
- Occasionally deliver material as needed.
- Perform additional warehouse duties as directed by supervisor.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Experience working in an administrative role, warehousing, and delivery.
- Valid Class B license and medical card and clean MVR.
- Ability to work independently and part of a team.
- Organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and strong critical thinking skills.
- Strong basic math skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions as required.
- Must be able to read and understand basic measurement functions (ruler, caliper, micrometers)
- Ability to pass a drug screen, physical, and meet the physical requirements of the position.
- Ability to pass a human performance evaluation to meet the physical requirements of the job (lifting, pushing, pulling up to 70 lbs. etc.)
