Job summary

Roadtex Transportation seeks a forklift driver to join its warehouse team. The role requires operating a forklift, loading/unloading goods, and maintaining accurate inventory records while adhering to safety procedures.

Candidates should have at least 3 months forklift experience and a High School diploma or GED, plus the ability to pass internal certification and work in dusty, hot, or cold environments. This is a full-time, on-site position with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Able to pass internal Forklift Certification Training and demonstrate safety procedures.
• Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect forklift before use to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Load and unload materials and goods onto/off trucks, trailers, or storage areas using the forklift.
• Maintain inventory records and report discrepancies to management.
• Ensure forklift is operated in a safe and responsible manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Report forklift malfunctions or maintenance needs to management.
• Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
